Movement and Flow

Movement and flow are two keys elements to game improvement. Golf instruction has been stiff, static and technical for to long, which eliminates our ability to flow.

As Golfers we need to learn from different disciplines. One such discipline are the martial arts. Martial arts such as Taekwondo, Kung Fu, judo, aikido are ancient combat forms that date back and have evolved over hundreds, even thousands of years. The movement, flow and balance that martial artists evolve and perfect, create immense speed and power. For many years I have taught the game of golf and for many years I played competitive golf.
To compete at the highest level, every aspect of your golf game golf needs to work well. So what is the fundamental thing do we need to improve for our games to get better??? More golf lesson’s ? More rounds of golf ? More competition ? I will answer this later .

I have personally taught golf for over 15 years and have seen clearly the frustrations people have in the pursuit of a better golf game. During a golf lesson, people learn and generally understand what they need to improve but they can't seem to implement the change ? Why ?

As a professional sports man for over 25 years, the fundamental to your ability to play sport well, to guarantee improved results, the fundamental to game improvement is FITNESS ...Plain and simple ...
In my teaching experience I have viewed many different golf swings but very few that play without restriction. I explained during lessons what needed to change but I new the body couldn't do it ??? But that doesn’t mean the body can't do it.....?? I don't believe so.

Golf movement fitness will strengthen your body, make you more aware of your body and more in control of its movements. Gone are my days of teaching golf from a technical starting point. This is a waste of time.
"I've heard people say, I need to get fit, I'm going to start running ????" WRONG - For the person to start running he/she firstly needs to get the body strong enough to run. If you try to run and your body isn't strong enough it will break down.
This works the same for golf, if your body isn't strong enough to play golf it will break down and your swing will form around your limited function rather than your capable function.
We don't all have the same body, we don't all need the same fitness plan but wedo need to understand our own fitness plan and how it will effect and improve your golf game.
General fitness issues that effect people’s ability to play better golf, range from cardio fitness, balance, stability , core strength, mobility, functional movement, flexibility etc
